Six Sail Through Rwanda TPF Auditions

Six out of 50 Rwandan contestants have qualified in auditions for this year’s edition of television series, Tusker Project Fame (TPF), a popular show in East Africa.

The upcoming edition is TPF’s season 5 due to kick off in Nairobi, Kenya, next month.

Identities of those selected after the auditions in Kigali this week has not been reveled by the three-member team of judges.

They will be revealed this Sunday, the same date the competition tour will start to be hosted on Kenyan television called the citizen as well as state owned Rwanda television.

Judges include local entertainment MC, Lion Imanzi, singer Miss Channel and Dixon, a local radio presenter.

The contestants will all travel to the TFP studios in Nairobi but only some of them will actually participate in the competition, Imanzi said.

At least 50 Rwandan contestants registered for the auditions. Most were knocked out, leaving at least six winners.

The nominees arrive in Nairobi by May, 18th when screening of the new season starts. This year, Burundi joins the contest as a newly added country.

Rwandan artist, Alpha Rwirangira, currently studying in the US, has twice won this competition.
