The Eritreans former winner of 3 stages last year, have dominated today their rivals on a demanding discipline where the spirit of collective cohesion is essential.
The Rwanda team (7th today) who had won the final classification a year ago, thanks to Joseph Areruya, lost today more than a minute.
Apart from Algeria (2nd at 14’’) and Portugal (3rd at 25’’) the Eritrea team has already consolidated a great advantage in the overall classification, led by the young Yakob Debesay. He will have the honor of wearing the yellow jersey tomorrow during the second stage circuit in Douala.
