Yesterday the President of Rwanda turned 59 years just less than a year to contest a third term that otherwise is not for all ages.
Today President Paul Kagame thanked all his followers and well wishers for their support during the celebrations to mark his birthday.
“To all those who sent messages of good wishes for my Birth Day, I received and read each one of them. Happy to say thank you very much! I wish I could say it to each one of you personally and directly !! All the best to you as well !!”.
He was born on October 23 1957, two years before he would flee to Uganda with his father, mother, and brother and sisters at a tender age of two years. He was born in Gitarama now Muhanga now in the Southern Province.
He would then grow the slander strong and intelligent man that could help the National Resistance Army to liberate Uganda from 1980-86 guerrilla war which culminated with his being ranked a Major leading among that country’s Intelligence officers.
Four years later, Kagame, was back from a training course in the USA to lead the liberation war that would end a Genocide against Tutsi in 1994, liberate Rwanda and even former Zaire now DR.Congo.
Last year Rwandans of all walks led way to the Rwandan Parliament and at different stadia requesting the President not to hesitate seeking a third term but to be assured or a re-election.
The move pushed restrictions off the constitution allowing him a third term and even more if he continues to do the good things he does for Rwandans.
