Minister Musoni appreciated President Paul Kagame’s appointments during his time as the country’s ministerial member.
“It is an honor to that Gatete is taking the responsibility to head this ministry, it is a challenging job,” he said, fortunately, the minister has expertise is such challenging duties.
Minister Gatete noted that he will commence with the implementation of different projects under the government’s set vision like the construction of roads, water, and connecting more Rwandans to the electricity grid.
“I will invest more efforts in the distribution of electricity to achieve the 100 percent set target to connect all Rwandans by 2024.”
He was appointed to lead Mininfra by President Kagame on April 6 following the sudden resignation of the former minister. Gatete was appointed to lead the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in 2013.
Prior to his appointment as Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, he was the Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda and also served as Rwanda’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland.
He was replaced by Dr.Claude Uwera, the newly appointed Minister to lead the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
