Rwanda National Police has today gathered all the thousands of commercial motorcyclists operating in Kigali city at the Kigali Stadium in Nyamirambo to warn them on need to abide by road rules and safety.
Police has been alerting motorcyclists and drivers on road safety and urging them to respect the signages on roads the also complete their automobile activities.
Kigali City in-charge for traffic police Assistant Commissioner of Police Felly Bahizi told the motorcyclists that they should respect the road signs and rules and the security along roads to ensure safety.
“You should know that the work you do is important and always carry people that have full identification and respect the road rules,” he said.
Drivers were warned to stop drink-driving and using mobile phones when driving along the roads in the country especially in Kigali city where such tendencies cause accidents and deaths.
Police set guidelines that govern every driver and motorcyclist.
